It's 0930 EST and there's nothing in the sidebar that looks like a live thread for the SC primary . . .

Romney recently and hesitantly agreed to the debates in Fla. He is not happy. Santorum will be a wild little man and on the attack. Many feel he should remain in and allow the process to evolve. I believe he is a spoiler. Read his voting record and it is NOT conservative. GO NEWT!

Well said Sam - thanks for taking time to respond to that ugliness.

Ron Paul is killing me.

I'm guessing the early returns are coming from the counties with larger cities and towns.

I'm hoping the spread gets wider as the rural precincts roll in.

The question is: Does Bubba identify with Mittens? Will the "dog on the roof" picture look enough like a Lab in the pickup? Does the Romney hairstyle look enough like Gomer Pyle? So many questions.

At this juncture, I will go on record as saying I went to Furman (GO Paladins!)... ;-) and I worked there for a year after college, until the Navy called my name .
You South Cackalacky rebels have done yourselves AND OUR COUNTRY proud tonight!

“Are you a Florida Gator?”

psst - he’s just an irritable gator - don’t tell anyone I said that. Actually, he’s a big ole sweet bear.

A valid point, and remember too, Newt will build on - and I think convert - those reasonable and conservative Ron Paul supporters who are drawn to his defense of Liberty. Newt will do a very good job of promoting liberty and all those core constitutional values too.

Pon Paul is making history. He is giving the longer speach for a losing candidate. He is going twice as long as even Romney.

I wish it was Paul’s opus, but I fear he will be annoying us (and Newt) for a while still.

I see him as showing his inner bitch.

Now would have been a good time for him to make a few short and polite concession comments, then speak of his vision of the future of our country and his plans for Florida.

Instead, he lowered himself to the level of a sore loser.

There is no real man within him.

And then, Daily Kos Chimes in with this wonderful quote from one of the nutjobs:

“Newt was the candidate who best expressed his hate for minorities, the poor and liberals. The racist SC GOP responded with voting for one of their own.”

EXPECT THIS TO BE THE MSNBC.NBC.NPR meme they will be pushing, all week.

Ron Paul is giving a great rousing speech with no teleprompter. He must be 25 years older than lame-brain Bammy Boy who would die without his teleprompter

Not too bad by Ron Paul. (not a supporter of him)

Wow! That’s a brilliant point by Newt. I wasn’t too excited about him earlier, but damn, I am fully on board now.

Nice to finally get excited about somebody again after Cain dropped out.

Man, I wish Paul would get a clue and go away forever.
Same with the nasty Boy Scout.

Then we’d have a clear choice between Romney and the non-Romney.

Ah, Sarah’s coming back on Fox...
