Brit just completely trashed Newt, basically saying the GOP will lose the House if he is the nominee. Brit is downright nasty, unlike anything I have seen from him.
Thanks for the link. Brit just gacve a rundown of favorable/unfavorable percentages, which had Newt in last place of all the remaining candidates.
You could catch the anger in his delivery and look, as if he was trying to prove a point that was anti-Newt.
Then he confirned it by saying that no Republican in Congress will want to be seen with him on the reelection trail, i.e. zero coattails.
Something is definitely off there. Something personal. No doubt about it.
After posting that comment, I had a convo with a neighbor whose recollection confirms my memory of those events. I totally ‘get’ that Brit would not only be devastated by the tragic loss of his son, but also angry at whomever leaked the info. It has been rumored it was Newt OR Armey. No one really knows.
That said, since Brit does have such a deep emotional issue with Newt, he should not be covering these elections. He has not one ounce of objectivity, and it shows. And it seems he has tainted the opinions of others at Fox who respect Brit. Let Brit go back to his well-earned retirement.
