It will be up to us (hopefully the ones that get him elected) to keep conservative pressure on him. No matter what he does, it will be far better for our nation than if Obama keeps the Presidency.
Hey there, FRiend!
I'm actually leaning the same way regarding the 'strong offense' which is part of why I'm watching this race so closely.
And you make a very good point as to the pressure we would need to keep on Newt as President. He has had a recent problem with leaning left (Scozzafava), and he would need to hear strongly from us if he started leaning that way again.
The question I have with him is, will he listen? No way to know that now.
I agree, but I had to decide what the best option was...today. Newt was the most conservative I consider electable.
My vote for Thompson last election, helped seal the nomination for McCain. I couldn't make the same mistake this time and put Mitt in the driver seat. I know Newt goes off on tangents, but Mitt is too liberal.
I still think its going to be a close thing, but I believe I did the right thing. Time will tell.
I share your concern on the global warming thing.
One thing I liked about Rick Perry was that he promised to shut down the EPA. This agency has hurt business over stuff that doesn’t matter more than any other.
I hate GREEN people. Well, Kermit may be okay, but ...
They’ve now taken around here to putting signs next to handicap parking spaces that are supposedly reserved for ‘Green’ cars ... that have some kind of fuel efficient rating.
I always park my big bus there while wishing I had a Hummer to park there. This is not enforceable and is an insult.
I’m too lazy to appear at the Irving City Council to protest, but I wish someone would.
This stupid green stuff has permeated our society and made money for people like algore. Grrr.
Anyway, we need to keep Newt’s feet to the fire on this.
And we need to work very hard to elect more real conservatives to the house and senate to keep whatever president we end up with in line.
I hope it’s Newt.
