Problem for Romney, This has already been vetted. So if THAT is all he has.. he is in REAL Trouble.

He has a lot of new stuff on his history that is going to really hurt him. Plus he loses in the debates. Doesn’t look good for Romney.

“Among women, Gingrich leads Romney 42% to 26%, followed by Paul with 16%, and Santorum with 13%.” CANNOT BE SHOUTED FROM ENOUGH ROOFTOPS!

I thought per Hoodat that was not possible? Very confusing! I thought women HATED Newt? /sarcasm.

I guess someone was wrong lol.

Go Newt!

There isn’t a single canidate that will give us that. Newt is tainted, and Rick’s wife is almost as bad.

IF we assume both have repented, and changed their ways, so be it. I am inclined to believe them. But it is a lot of ammo to hand the other side out of the gate.

Wouldn’t it be neat to elect as a county as an elector the person in your county that you consider to be Presidential material?

Imagine all those “presidential” men gathering in your state and selecting to go forward the “most presidential” among them.

And then imagine those 50 presidential men conferring and selecting among themselves the most presidential to be the nominee.

I can honestly see a George Washington being elevated from such a process...that I’ve loosely designed around the original process.

Wouldn’t it be neat to decide as a county what makes a person “presidential” material?

We need Rupaul to stay in. He is costing Milt liberal votes in open primary states.

Interesting. Thanks for the perspective. And what do you think would happen if Gingrich opened marijuana legalization up as a topic for discussion?

Hmm, not sure. It seems kind of a side-issue considering the current situation we're in as a whole, so would that be wise to bring up? From what I recall, I think Newt has said he'd be cautious about legalizing it, though I can't find any specifics on what his current position is.

I have some very conservative friends, many of whom have used pot at least a few times in their lives, and most of them are of the opinion that our marijuana laws are draconian, though they do worry about the impact on usage of harder drugs if it were legalized.

They are draconian, I agree. Personally, I'd rather drugs in general be decriminalized—prior to the early 20th century, there were little to no laws regulating substance use, and society didn't fall apart.

Just in case any of those friends of yours are considering Romney, they might change their mind after this video. What an ass.

I suspect the late reports(Just in time for the SC primary...heh heh!) that Santorum has actually won Iowa was the work of the power brokers who are dismayed that Romney is losing steam. Newt scares them but the only guy left after Romney to counter Newt is “Squeaky Clean” moderate Santorum. Cain would have been a good counter but they mistakenly “shot their load” in getting him out of the race too early!

Newt will get the nomination and perhaps the presidency...but will it already be too late to do any good before our land plunges into fiscal chaos and perhaps civil war?

Sarah Palin’s sweet revenge, Romney made couple of big mistakes
1) Spread rumors against Sarah before 2008 election closed
2) Spread second round of rumors against her character (she came out just wearing towel etc)
3) During 2011, they attacked her again, she came out and asked them to Shut up.
4) To keep her out of election, he used his money and moved dates up in couple of states.

End result, what we are seeing, a smooth sailing is now a deep slide for Romney.
Romney made a big big mistake

Newt Gingrich owned a consulting company and had a contract with Freddie Mac. He worked on contract for about 6 years and earned about $250,000 per year. Freddie Mac chose to terminate the contract.

Quite bluntly, he got his money the old fashioned way - he earned it!

As a small child he witnessed his father beating and abusing Newt’s mother. She divorced him, remarried, and Newt was adopted by his step dad. Later he was sexually molested by a high school teacher. Yeah, the first wife he married because she became pregnant and he felt obligated. Today, such women would go to prison as sexual predators.

The story about his second wife, Marianne Ginther, has been in the news lately. They were married 18 years and serperated twice, the final time for six years before admitting defeat and asking for a divorce.

This man was carrying a troubled emotional burden while serving in Congress but he sought counseling, joined AA and eventually turned his life around after a religious conversion.

And you denigrate him?

What I’ve found shocking is the enormous number of so-called Christians here at Free Republic who are nothing of the sort.

Christians are not better than other people. They forgive others, ask forgiveness for themselves, and try to lead a better life by not sinning further. I’m not disgusted with Newt Gingrich, who I believe has honestly changed his life. I’m disgusted with the bigots who claim they are Christian but do not put it into daily practice.

“...After only four years with his Party still in power, his own members forced him out...”

Oh yeah, and many of those Republicans are still in Congress. They are part of the ongoing problem of business as usual in Washignton, D.C. Under a Republican president, they added over $3 trillion to the federal deficit, shunned conservative policy in favor of Beltway influence-peddling, and so damaged the GOP brand that we lost the majority Gingrich had worked years to forge. They’re no doubt pooping in their silk panties at the thought of Newt Gingrich as President, for he has stated repeatedly that he intends to change Washington, D.C.

Do you really think I give a damn that Newt’s fabulous colleagues think his reemergence would be a disaster for Republicans? No. The elections of 2010 were NOT a merit promotion; the Republicans were the only alternative in town!

Washington is broken, it doesn’t work the way it is supposed to and Newt said, if elected, he will work to change the way Washington does business. You better believe the elitists who suck money off of government contracts are terrified he will be elected.

He knows where the bodies are buried.

He knows where the skeletons are hidden.

He knows about the hidden tract ways and byways by which influence peddling moves.

When a middle-class citizen is elected to Congress and returns home 20 years later a multi-millionaire, it is due to corruption in government.

Newt Gingrich has not advocated blanket amnesty for illegal aliens. He will enforce our immigration laws, complete the fence, and strengthen our border defenses. The immdediate result will be million of illegal aliens self-deporting as has happened before.

What you perceive as amnesty is actually our already existing laws being enforced. An illegal alien from Mexico married to a U.S. citizen for 25 years with children born in the U.S. and registered as U.S. citizens, will have a high probability of receiving preferential treatment by INS. If that person is deported s/he will be returning shortly because of having U.S. relatives. It is the way the laws work.

Two married illegal aliens with children born in the U.S. - that is a differnt matter. Families should be kept together and all members deported, period.

Nothing you will say, which I believe is biased and flat-out wrong, has any effect on my belief that Newt Gingrich is the only candidate with true leadership ability who can and will change Washington, D.C. He isn’t perfect. Who is? But I believe at this time, at this juncture in our nation’s history, he can lead this country away from the abyss of socialism and economic collapse.

Newt was a man of modest means when elected to Congress, now he is a multi millionaire, super rich. I find it very curious how many people go to D.C. with modest wealth and leave super rich. Can some one explain to me how that works? TIA.

“How is it conservative to vote for a three times married man”

It seems to me that Newt got an annulment and married his wife in the church. That means his previous marriages were declared invalid. He’s married to his first (current) wife. The first two, in the eyes of the Church (GOD) never happened.
