At least SHE cares enough about this Country to know when to step aside ... there are about 400 other Congress members who should do the same ... on both sides of the aisle.
We have to stop paying their salaries ... the original intent was not to make SERVING in Congress a life-long profession.
My gggggreatuncle had to pay his own way when he served in the House representing Virginia and later, Kentucky. Let the States that elect them support them ... with NO contributions from lobbyists or businesses, people, nations. Their pay should come from the people who elected them not from outside their district or State.

Ted Kennedy did not. He held onto his U.S. Senate seat till his last breath, then a temp. replacement (Kirk) was named
until the election was held. Ted’s health resulted in him missing a lot of votes and he COULD have stepped aside...
the idea behind good bennies and good pay for politicians is that it is supposed to prevent them being bribed.
My take about the congresswoman is that if she were a republican there would have been daily articles about how she should step down for “the good of the people.”
I’m amazed the Princess Pelosi permitted her to resign. I hope she recovers, but it was apparent to me when she started having press conferences a few months ago, that she was in no condition to properly server the people in her district. Her only purpose would have been like Harry Byrd was in his final couple of years, to be wheeled in from the hospital to vote to ensure a dimocrat majority vote in the Senate.
I hope that she fully recovers and has a good life.
