I knew Ayers had refused to repudiate his bloodthirsty "25,000,000" remark of 40 years ago .... and that nobody around him had repudiated it either, or him .....

Well, you tickled my memory and sent me off in search of something I remembered from a while back. These people are leftists and their kind, if they have power, will exterminate anyone who gets in their way.
