Filmmaker Oliver Stone would vote for Ron Paul over Obama

Filmmaker Oliver Stone, known for his liberal political views, said he would vote for GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul over President Obama should Paul win the Republican nomination.

In an interview with Rock Cellar magazine, Stone was asked if an economic collapse would lead to the fall of the American “empire.”

“I think it’s a given,” Stone said. “There’s no way that we can continue this spending spree. In fact, I think in many ways the most interesting candidate — I’d even vote for him if he was running against Obama — is Ron Paul. Because he’s the only one of anybody who’s saying anything intelligent about the future of the world.”

Just think what a Gingrich/Paul ticket would be like?

Just think what a Gingrich/Paul ticket would be like?

It would consist of one very brainy, rational, authentic Conservative who realizes that freedom and liberty are built upon a foundation of unsurpassed military might. Our enemies must be in mortal fear of a powerful, no-compromise, no-quarter-given, ruthless America.

And on the other hand, such an absurd ticket would be "balanced" by a lunatic who favors application of the Golden Rule as a means to deal with evildoers.

Go Newt Go! Restore a confident, strong America!

Go Paul...just go away...far, far away.

He says this because he knows Paul won’t win the nomination

And the importance of a liberal director’s statements are?

Exactly. I have not seen one statement on this thread that is not a simple argumentum ad hominem.

That’s one more reason not to vote for Ron Paul. Stone is the creepiest commie cuddler in Hollywood.

By your logic this babe would be enough reason to vote for Paul.

Bad news for Ron Paul.

Kinda like it was bad news for Fredo when Michael gave him a kiss.

Voting for Obama and then for Paul does not evidence schizophrenia. It just means that Stone doesn't care one way or another about the government's level of spending, high or low, or gold standards, or socialism as such vs, capitalism as such.

What Obozo and the Paulistinian share is a desire to destroy our nation, our military, our defenses, our foreign policy, cuddle our enemies, betray our friends, preserve abortion and promote homosexuality, inter alia. They have plenty of issues in common. Everyone is not obsessed with money, money, money.

Obama is just too conservative and not anti-America enough for Oliver Stone.

unbelieveable comments.

my respect for fellow “Free Republic”ans, has suddenly dropped through the floor. Romney and Gingrich are both globalists. Period. Socialist lights.

Paul is and has been a Constitutionalist. as in, the U.S. Constitution. sort of like the way George Washington was. that guy that strongly URGED the nation to stay out of foreign wars. but what the hell did he know, right?

and because we have allowed the globalists/ Federal Reserve to rule us for the last 100 years (read Rothschild...), we are now BROKE. so we are borrowing against our children’s children’s future to pay for “Foreign Aid”. stupid is about to become TOO painful for words...

and don’t forget it was the GLOBALISTS Bush/Clinton that sent all our manufacturing overseas. NAFTA. GATT. and all the Congress went along for the ride.

well those roosters have come home to roost. and you goobers haven’t figured out why.

The Constitution is a total document. The surrender monkey takes the parts that he likes and says they are constitutional. Parts he does not like he says are unconstitutional.

sort of like the way George Washington was.

George Washington did not blame America for keeping us free and safe. Since when did George Washington want perverts in the military?
