Some of you can ignore political realities if you want to - due to your abject hatred of Romney. As for me, I fully understand that endorsements by elected officials of other officials is not a kind of purity test. There are personal relationships and favors and all kinds of other human realities that go into the calculation that we know nothing of. Just like in every other walk of life or business.

I am working, professionally, to defeat Romney right now. My anti Romney cred nor my pro tea party cred or pro Sarah Palin cred or anti establishment cannot be questioned intelligently. So while I am disappointed that Rubio and Romney have this kind of working relationship, that does not mean I am going to make my judgement of Marco Rubio based on this.

Face it, every politician you have ever supported has likely done some things for other politicians that you despised. Just like every person you do business with has done business with people you despise.

I don't know how you get around the fact that Marco Rubio essentially just told a bald faced lie about Romney being a conservative. Flat out lying to my face is something that I refuse to abide in a politician.

Even worse, is ignorance. If Rubio doesn't understand that Romney has never been anywhere close to a conservative in his life, then he's a loose cannon and ideologically untethered, and will probably do lasting damage to the conservative cause.

Once again, you're exactly on target. Trying to remove the human factor from the political calculus is futile. Nothing gets done without these annoying micro alliances that we never hear about. I've been avoiding saying this, but at some point we need to grow up a little.

In one sense, my support goes to the theory of America. If you convince me that Daffy Duck is the best defense for the Constitution, he would be my candidate.

Sadly, whenever someone can't stand the heat in a debate, they pull out the hate card.

A meaningless, rhetorical cheap trick designed to shut down discussion.

Also Sadly, the freepers that use this dishonest form of debate never learn that freepers don't back down from that kind of false charge.

I can speak for myself, however, I believe I speak for most, if not all freepers when I say, we don't hate Romney, but we hate his politics, we hate the attempt to manipulate us into voting for him, we hate the dishonesty of the GOP in pushing him as :

1. Conservative
2. Inevitable
3. Electable

All of which those you have accused of being haters have proven over and over and over again with facts and logic for many months and yet you and others spout the same unproven nonsense about hating and purity tests.

Our judgement of Romney is based on his own words/decisions/myriad of issues position changes, we don't hate but we have tested Romney in objective terms and found him totally lacking to be POTUS.
