Daniels wasn’t dynamic, however he was very factual. Unlike Obama this speech isn’t suppose to be a campaign speech. I felt he could have been a little more specific on Obama’s failure, and I would have very much used Keystone by name (although the point was made). Means testing on SS isn’t the same as saying rich shouldn’t get it. End of day, something has to be done and means testing is one of the pieces of the solution.
I think the site has gone over the top with freaking out if anyone criticizes Newt. The guy has skeletons and has earned the tough reviews since he has had plenty of weak kneed, kiss up to the Dems and press, moments. I like him much better then Romney, but I would hardly say that he is a model candidate of everything I want in a conservative candidate. He better be able to handle the tough sledding in the primary because it will be 10x worse if we is the nominee.
