Oh you mean like Ann Coulter or Peggy Noonan? Look some folks are inconsistent. for me RET went over the bend when he started hitting the booze so hard that he lost all rational thought. He drove AS into the ground and we lost a great magazine in the process.

Buckley always had a bit of a libertarian bent to him but he was thoughtful and witty and razor sharp. Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of my life time. He saved the nation when it was on the bring. Was he perfect> Nope but my good what a grand and noble man he was. His greatest defect of character was probably that he believed all people are basically good——so when the Dems wanted to role him all the had to do was say ‘ we promise’ and the Washingotn insiders would urge him to go along.

Reagan for my money was more than good enough. How I wish some one such as him were there for us now.

The one I love is Karl Rove ...now there was a good guy who is now the enemy ....its strange though, when he says something pro Newt he still doesnt become a good guy

I will be glad when the primary is over ...

I know it's just a typo, but this is a funny truth in a way I'm sure you didn't intend. America was on a “bring me this, bring me that, I don't wanna work, just bring it to me” mentality before workfare and similar policy changes that Reagan either began or created a climate to make politically possible.
