Stressing the importance of maintaining diversity at the highest levels of New Jersey’s judiciary, Gov. Chris Christie Monday nominated an openly gay African-American mayor and a Korean-American assistant attorney general to the Supreme Court.

If confirmed by the state Senate, Harris would be the ............... first openly gay justice named to the state Supreme Court

Here is "conservative" Chris Christie at his very best.

Meanwhile, he's waffling over the gay marriage bill. Before he said he would veto it. Now he's calling for a referendum.

Any day now, expect the "conservative" CHris Christie to morph into a fully fledged Democrat - a conversion he has allegedly mulled in the past.

And to think, some conservatives, even some on here, wanted this obese, liberal POS to be the Republican Nominee...

The writer is suggesting that it's the new judge's color, not his homosexuality, that lends diversity to that particular court.

So, the whole court is made up of homosexuals?

Probably a "first" ~ even California hasn't gotten "there" yet.

I’m a one-armed Armenian wallpaper hanger. Where’s my representation on the court. I want my justice!

Christie also appointed Sohail Mohammad, a Muslim Immigration attorney to the Superior Court of Passaic County - a guy with no epxerience on the bench at a lower level.

Another “first” for New Jersey.

This guy told Opra Winfrey that he plans to run for President in 4 years.

Hope its not on the Republican Ticket.

Chris Christie, the candidate for country club Republicans that like Obama’s policies but would rather have a president that is fatter and whiter.

Perhaps "run" isn't the best term, I doubt Christie has done any running in the last decade (unless it was toward the buffet table).

What would bring diversity to these overreaching judicial legislators is a strict constructionist.

I had to vote for Christie over Corzine. I don’t think Christie is sinking NJ’s money into risky international speculations, and that’s all you can say for him.

New state motto: Expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed.

“Waddle, Chris, Waddle!” (Print it on a bumper sticker with a rainbow background).

With “conservatives” like Christie, Coulter and Romney, who needs Liberals?

It has been obvious to me for a long time that we as a society have failed. And it is our own leaders who have failed us.

Congrats Christie Creme. You just lost the Lakewood vote. Remember why Brooklyn Jews went out to vote for Turner?

I may get zotted, but this isn't bashing, it's just my observation. I think pro gay policies are RUINING this country. They also are immoral. With Christie now promoting the gay agenda, just how conservative can he be? I am just questioning why he is becoming so openly pro gay.

I saw a clip of him this morning on Fox. He was wearing a white dress shirt. (Not because of the shirt, just mentioning it in case you see the clip), He looked so GAY. I mean his “mannerisms” (using the term man nerism loosely), gestures, facial expressions. Is it any surprise that he is becoming a pro gay governor?

Is this recent headline to be repeated soon? Just wondering.

“New Jersey governor quits, comes out as gay” (August 13, 2004)
