I heard CNN after the debate (Jacksonville, Fl.) discussion tonight and they said establishment types from as far away as Utah are making themselves available to the press after Newts events here in Florida to dispute what he says.

The Country Club Republican elites don’t think they can control Newt - so they attack him mercilessly in coordinated fashion.

As far as I can see, the GOP saw it’s best days long ago. Sadly, the Establishment owns both parties. The Tea Party is more important to traditional conservatives. We are no longer wanted in the GOP.

Here's the money line I took away from Major's article....

While this is advertised as a fight over conservatism, it’s really a fight over winning or what the party decides winning is about or what winning is meant to pursue. Gingrich wants to win to bring about “radical change.” Romney and the new wave of party critics contend the only thing radical about a 2012 campaign with Gingrich as nominee would be the radical loss of political clout in Congress and state legislatures across the land, along with the White House itself.

Rush is right...the Establishment/Country Club RINO's are only worried about their clout in Congress, and they're fighting an epic battle to maintain power of the purse strings. They don't give a hoot about radical change to actually restore this country for the better.

Bob Dole is one of the most perplexing people to have ever walked the face of the earth. I can think of few people that I have more admired, or more wanted to strangle, in my life. Sometimes changing between the two extremes in just the space of a few days. In some ways he is even worse than Mclame, who I have only mildly liked at times while being completely disillusioned with most of the time.

Backing the mayonnaise sandwich on white bread-Mitt. Ain’t gonna work.
Go ahead—make yourselves irrelevant.

Tea Party is alive and well. Never forget.

"I heard CNN after the debate (Jacksonville, Fl.) discussion tonight and they said establishment types from as far away as Utah are making themselves available to the press after Newts events here in Florida to dispute what he says."

In the comments section at the link to Garrett's article, someone said that she saw Donna Brazille (sp?) say that these same establishment types are planning on showing up at every one of Newt's campaign stops between now and election day on Tuesday, to "refute" what he says.

They have declared all out war here in Florida against us right now.

So that wasn’t Newt -n-Nancy gabbing about Global Warming and being all establishment?
I don’t care who attacks me, Newt sucks and I’m furious that once again I’m put in a situation to vote for someone just to prevent another from getting in. You know what would work? Pull a real conservative out out the wilderness and BACK him with money, ads, the whole 9 yards. And for the love of God, quit letting the media dictate EVERYTHING to us. Our side spends more time being led around by the nose by the media( these ridiculous debates are a good example), more time responding to a**holes like Jon Stewart than trying to get our message out. By ignoring the media, using our own resources and banning the word “electability” from our lexicon, we just might do something...but we won’t, we will expend all of our energy with infighting and spending all the money and credibility by the convention, paving the way for Hawaii Vacation parts 3, 4, 5..

Dole remains an important figure in the party, although his attachment to it has waned in recent years and he has no links to the tea party-inspired segment of the party responsible for propelling Republicans to a House majority and Senate gains in 2010. Dole’s message, however, is not unlike the warnings that GOP veterans issued in 2010 when tea party activists nominated Sharron Angle in Nevada and Christine O’Donnell in Delaware–-hard-line conservatives who turned jump-ball Senate races into slam-dunk Democratic victories.

Yes, Dole is trying to do the same thing to Gingrich that the RINOs did to Angle and O'Donnell. It was bad enough they trashed them before they were nominated, they continued afterward. IMHO, had Republicans, like Rove, gotten behind them we'd have gained control of the Senate. They wanted the SOS and to h&!! with what conservatives wanted. Also, I believe the RINOs think conservatives are so sick of Obama we'll vote for anyone they put up, so they're pushing the SOS at us once again. Newt isn't as conservative as I'd like, but, I sure don't want someone Dole or McCain push at me.

Doncha love two senile failed candidates like McCain and Dole telling us Newt can’t win? I guess irony isn’t their strong suit.
