I guess Jobs isn’t going to vote for him again.

We're going to need to reopen that rare earth mine and, while we're at it, try those environmentalists for treason.

Jobs was a long-term Democrat. In practice, however, Jobs was a life-long capitalist—not a socialist like Obama

And just what did he think they democrats were evolving into all these years ?

If Jobs didn’t realize the Democrat Party had communist economic ideas then he was not that sart, after all.

Steve Jobs’s leadership style was “my way or the highway”, the same as Newt Gingrich. Most people hated working for Steve Jobs directly and would not have endorsed him to be in charge. Food for thought.

President Ronald Reagan bestowed Jobs and Wozniak with America’s very first National Medal of Technology. In contrast, President Obama largely ignored Jobs’ success and advice during his lifetime and then invited Jobs’ widow to hear him attack the capitalistic system that allowed Jobs to succeed.

Reagan was secure enough in his own self-worth to honor others. Obama uses others as stepping stones to once again be all about himself.

There are plenty of wealthy tech guys, like Jobs, who are Democrats. They identify with many left-wing causes, because they think the lefties care about mankind. They do so because it, leftist cant, all sounds wonderful, and they get to associate with hip Hollyweird celebrities something in short supply among Republicans. So they vote for pols like Obama who they think can change the world. It’s almost laughable that Jobs didn’t understand why Obama was doing (and still does) all the job-destroying, anti-free market things he does. Which proves tech wonks might be geniuses in their chosen fields, but they’re naive dopes when it comes to how the world really runs.

More and more, Steve Jobs rises in my estimation. I liked the part where he told Obama that he needed to bust up the teacher unions to improve public education. I do believe that Jobs was a closet conservative but decided not to reveal himself because why piss off a large segment of the Apple customer base - which tends to lean liberal?

It is interesting reading about Apple in the early days. It is usually perceived that Steve Jobs took advantage of Steve Wozniak and cashed in on his inventions. However, it seems that Wozniak's inventions would have come to nothing if not put in the hands of a marketing genius like Steve Jobs. Hell, Wozniak was willing to give his inventions away for free.

I don't get it...

* His "I" devices are being built by people that have to sign a non-suicide agreement, because they are being pushed so hard.
*His "I" devices are built in a fascist/communist country with "death wagons" for political dissidents and 50 million abortions.*
* His political bent enabled, little or no tort reform, high Corp taxes, and Sarbanes Oxley all impediments to building his "I" devices here, not to mention the EPA
* He was a lefty that tried to get Glenn of the air, so much for free speech their Stevo.
* This is on top of other personal issues...

So why all the borderline worship? Really ? Does these other sides of his totality count? Was he an overrated industrialist?
