KING: Senator Santorum, thanks for being with us today.
Let me start by asking you how your daughter is doing. You had a bit of a scare this weekend. Your 3-year-old was in intensive care.
She's doing better?
RICK SANTORUM (R), PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: She's doing much better, thank you so much. In fact, she had a -- a very tough Friday and Saturday, but I feel very, very blessed. You know, I -- I haven't been home, John, since Christmas -- Christmas Day.
And the one day I was home, actually, to get my taxes so we could turn those in, turned out to be a day I needed to be home. And she -- she went through a very, very tough time. But yesterday afternoon, she really -- she really rallied. And she's doing -- she's doing much better and we feel -- we feel things are good and that I can get back out on the road and that Karen and the kids can now take it from here.
But it was, it was hairy. I just want to thank you and everybody else for their prayers during this time. And it meant the world to us. And I know it helped Bella a lot.
KING: Well, we'll continue to pray for Bella. Now that you are back on the trail, you mentioned you went home to get your taxes. And that question has come up.

You hate Mormons, so you want Gingrich to defeat Mitt. You don’t care about Rick’s family.
If any candidate had a 3 year old daughter in the hospital who almost died from pneumonia and is still in intensive care, I would be saying the same thing to any of them.
He has no chance of winning, his daughter is sick and he is out on the trail trying to get votes.
I don’;t know about him but as a father of 3 young ones then I’d be with my kids no matter what
I believe it was he and his wife that said Sarah should be home with her children. Hyprocite! He says he didn’t finish his taxes as he was with his daughter, and yet now taxes aren’t done but he’s in Missouri. If Newt said these things, we would hear it non stop! He’s a lackey for Mitt, IMO there is no doubt about it.
In fact, he should quit the race, and have the whole family on welfare, just so they can all be there, ALL the time! From now on!
You posted two threads already. It’s because Mitt is a Mormon that you’re bringing this up. You don’t want Rick hurting Newt’s chances of winning to keep a Mormon out.
He may have no chance of winning Fl, but that doesn’t mean he has no chance of winning other states.
You believe, but you’re not sure. Link?
He’s a family man only when it doesn’t cost ‘him’ anything! When it does we see where his values really are.
and you actually think Rick S can get the nomination and then go on to beat obama
tell you are being sarc please
he can’;t even win his own area for senator and yet you think he can beat obama
His area is liberal, and he was defeated due to Bush’s policies.
That was a bad year for the GOP. My congressman was voted out that year too. Fortunately we sent him back in 2010.
liberal enough to vote for him in the first place but not again and here we go blame Bush again.
Listen you live in la la land if you like and you can think Rick S can go all the way, that is your doing.
I’ll sit here watching you get all giddy.
Oh and I’m supporting a guy who cheated on his wife who had cancer.
Tell that to Jim and most on here then .
He was defeated because he supported Specter.
And you’re a liar.
