The entire statement was fine. You just took a small part out of context.

Good grief. Another brilliant quote, to go along with “I like to fire people,” “corporations are people, my friend,” and all the other examples like the proposed $10,000 bet with Perry. And what was the thing about Romney telling an unemployed gent something like “I know what it’s like to get a pink slip?” And how his $350,000 speaking income “isn’t a lot of money.” Even if some of these things are taken out-of-context, they are still a vivid window into Romney’s mentality.

And THIS is who the loathesome GOP-E think is electable, whom the voters will flock to? The one person they’ve firebombed the whole grassroots/Tea Party in order to push? This aloof, arrogant POS??? The whole Republican Party will rightly deserve to be obliterated to dust for putting this guy up as nominee.

Romney should look more closely & critically at the supposed "Safety Net." It is neither what was intended by the Constitution, nor does it really benefit the legitimately poor--rather encourages them to pursue a self-destructive form of idleness. (See Constitutional Overview. Note especially the section from Jefferson's analysis of the safety net in his day, and how much better it worked, to appreciate the point.)

I do not have the animosity to Mitt that many do. But he makes a major mistake by not looking at how truly rotten is the so called "safety net," today.
