Moreover, your view that his entire statement is "ok" is complete gibberish. I understand what Romney meant by his entire statement, but he said it badly. In fact, the articulation of Mitt's point was so woefully poor that it should disqualify him as a politician.
In the end, only 10% of the country (active Romney supporters) will view his comments favorably.
40% of the country (Democrats) will use Romney's comments to bury him with another 25% (independents). And the Democrats will be aided in that effort by the 5% nutjob Paulistas and the remaining 20% (principled conservatives who can't stand Mitt).
