A proposal from our friend, and former U.S. ambassador to Malta, Douglas W. Kmiec:
Last November, I strongly recommended to the White House that President Obama grant the bishops’ request for a broader exemption for Catholic employers from the general obligation placed on most employers to acquire contraceptive coverage for their employees. To emphasize how well the bishops’ request dovetailed with what I understood then, and understand now, to be the president’s own perspective on religious freedom, I drafted some remarks to illustrate that happy convergence.

The Catholic Faith demands certain obedience in compliance with doctrine....Obama should respect that. However to be fair, he should also demand Islam comply to his health edicts also.

How about “I resign from the Presidency, effective immediately”.
We do pray for President Obama; that his eyes are opened to his sins and that he turns to you in true humility asking for forgiveness and mercy. May he see his need of you, as we all need you. Place people around him to speak this truth; You are the one and only true God; God the Father, God the Son & God the Holy Spirit. You are a merciful and forgiving God who opens his arms to those who repent.

What President Obama should say at the prayer breakfast.
Heavenly Father,
Your word says, "The beginning of wisdom is fear of the Lord". I come to you a humble and broken man, knowing I have sinned against You and this nation. I have promoted sin: abortion, homosexuality, and encouraged people to lie, cheat and steal for political purposes. Forgive me for telling the people of this country to follow me, thus turning from you. I have sent my people out to teach the children of this country you don't exist; that evolution is true and You should not be spoken of in schools; therefore, you can do whatever you want. I have placed sinful men an women in places of power to teach children about sexual perversions, stealing their innocence. and leading them into sin. I have allowed this nation to trample on the rights of it's citizen, while allowing guilty people to breaks laws, with no reprecusitions. I have used the people's money to buy votes and power. I have attempted to destroy your people through slander, lies, making laws to harm them and using my backers in media to persecute them.
God, my life has been about turning away from you and what is right. Help me to turn completely to you in truth and righteousness. May I walk in your ways and lead this country as our founders intended. Help me to seek you through your word and your people daily. May my life reflect your goodness and mercy.
I pray for all our nations leaders; democrat and republican. Give them wisdom, so they may also turn to you in truth, seeking your mercy an grace. May our conversion encourage others to seek you.
Protect our brave soldiers as they serve this nation. Be with them, giving them strength for the battle, wisdom in all they face and discernment to keep them safe. Place your hand of protection upon each one and bless them and their families for the great sacrifices they have made. Also bless our veterans who have served this country with honor; keeping us free and allowing us to prosper. Heal any wounds while serving; whether physical, emotional...May we as nation honor them with words and deeds.
Thank you for hearing my prayers. Help me to live in your will.
