If that statement is in fact true, JC Penny will be out of business in a year.
However, it is my guess that the people at JC Penny reviewed Ellen's Q Score and found that she does not offend the majority of their shoppers and will attract additional shoppers.
But, to say that a majority of JC Penny shoppers will no longer shop there is asinine.
Being in a “traditional family,” I’m far too busy with survival to spend time being offended over this. It almost goes without saying that no actress or model they might hire shares my values; the exceptions are too few to be worth seeking out.
I buy clothes at Penney’s several times a year. They have an excellent clearance section! Since I don’t watch television or read the local Democrat newspaper, I’d have no idea who was doing Penney’s advertising, if I hadn’t seen it here.
