mormonISM can call themselves Christian it does not make it so, anymore than living in a garage makes one a car.
I don’t see what the nature of Mormonism has to do with electing one; if a Buddhist were running I doubt there would be as many objections. But anyway, back to the salt mines -

-— I have been often told that Catholics deny the Biblical God, and worse, are not Christian. Oh well, you can’t please everyone.

The only thing that is clear to me, as a Catholic, is that they are heretics just as mistaken as Calvinists or Baptists or Methodists or Unitarians. We don’t go about burning that lot anymore, and are actually rather civil to them, all in all, so I don’t see why we shouldn’t be as civil to Mormons.
