Florida is TBD.

What is interesting in that the complaint was filed by delegates and the Florida Attorney General. Michael Steele and others at the RNC favor Newt’s position. In other words, most of the folks who AREN’T Newt Gingrich and have the standing to do something about it are in agreement that Florida should follow the rules.

This may very well happen.

Mitt commented today that “it would have been nice for Gingrich to challenge before the results.” I think that weak response is probably due to the fact that his own campaign lawyers and advisers have informed him that Florida may very likely have to follow the rules, which is bad news for Mitt. They are preparing for bad news after the spend-a-thon in FL.

I saw Newt on Hannity tonight and I thought he was great. I don’t think Romney can spend $18 million in every battleground state. Newt will be coming out any day with his finalized Contract for America and if he just sticks to it I think he will get the momentum back. He is going to do very well in the deep south.

“please tell me how anyone could listen to what Newt says and NOT vote for him?”

Simple, they don’t trust him....Newt has a long past and a lot of baggage. The Willards negative ads have had a huge effect in reminding people about Newt.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m voting for Newt, but holding my nose to do it. I’m settling for him because I feel he is the most Conservative left in the race. Plus I think he is the only one with the stones to attack 0bama, which has to be done to win.

Everyone on the right is very cynical about politics and people running for office. We aren’t like the Democrats who love their elected candidates and blame the Republicans for everything bad. Our side knows a lot of our guys are just as bad as the Democrats. We want a real Conservative to win, but that person isn’t running. So a lot of us settling for Newt. We don’t trust him, but we are going to roll the dice and take our chances.

What is certain is the Republican Party fight over the Rules will be epic, and most certainly will not end before the convention.

They are still talking about 25 Florida delegates, here and there, as being half of 50, which is half of the 99 total Florida delegates.

State rules and RNC rules will converge somewhere and the battle will be royal, even within both camps and between both camps.

Why wasn’t this settled before the primary between the state and the RNC?

Newt said that if the proportional rule is enforced, Romney would only be up by 10, instead of 50 in Florida with the split of delegates.

Don't know if Santorum or Paul would get any. If not, the split would be 20 and 30.

I feel the same way. Must be a lot of apathetic voters out there. It’s a shame because to appreciate a candidate like Newt, you really have to listen to his interviews and speeches and not be brainwashed by Romney’s negative ads.
