I’d say she did cheat a bit on the depth of her pushups, but that is impressive for a woman. Not that most women couldn’t do that if they worked on it, but they’d have to work on it and most women don’t.
Way too many American women—people’s mothers and grandmothers—have both their lifespans and their quality of life shortened due to lack of exercise. Osteoporosis-caused broken hips are the needless beginning of the end for too many older women.
And in that sense it is IMO a positive if a First Lady—and yes, even Michelle, can expand our idea of what is ‘ladylike’.
Won’t diss Moochelle on this one. 25 pushups for a woman is exceptional and she is a good example of physical fitness for women. Women should train for strength just like men.
For you guys saying this isn’t “ladylike”, you need to get out more.
