In a profanity-laced tirade, a Memphis DJ last week used an on-air interview to berate a local Republican congressional candidate -- calling her a "token negro" who is doing the bidding of "white folk."
DJ Thaddeus Matthews called Charlotte Bergmann, who is black, "stupid." He referred to her as a "curly-haired nigga." When she walked out of the interview, he refused to shake her hand, saying he didn't want to get her "whiteness" on him.
The outrage? The fury? In Memphis, you can hear the crickets.
Bergmann told FoxNews.com that, while the web video of the interview has gotten a lot of attention on blogs, local media are largely ignoring it. She said she hasn't gotten any calls from politicians about it. "No organization has spoken out," Bergmann said. ...

Back in that day we owned three record shops around Memphis. The Disc & Tape was in Collierville, Southland Mall & Bartlett. We bought wholesale from Poplar on some things. Went to record release shin-digs. One I remember clearly was a release for a record by the Temptations. A lot of those people you mentioned were there. Rufus was there, & Isaac Hayes with his gaggle of bald beauties. (Our son went to Montessori school with Isaac’s kids.) There were four white people at that party, us and two of our friends. Great party. But I still hate Memphis.
I don't know if Southland Mall is still in open. Whitehaven is pretty much a slum area, was once the place to live. Barlett is alright.
I’m sure you are right about Southland. I heard it was closed. We were in the area for five years. At that time it was somewhat of a record for us. In the Jimmy Carter debacle, we lost everything and moved away. Just another one of those times when we lost everything. Been up and down like a yo-yo. Always bounced back.

Welcome to the wonderful world of black liberalism, i.e. hate white folk, hate free-thinking black folk, and claim victimization while doing this.
Stay strong like Alan West. Your Democratic opponent is a typical white, guilt-ridden Jewish liberal. I’m surprised he can stand up because of all the white guilt he carries on his shoulders. As a Jew, I can talk about Cohen like that because I know his type - a curse of modern liberal Judaism.
PS: Wait till “Brotherly Love Matthews” finds out that you are Jewish. Then the epithets get really juicy. Just tell him you’re a descendant of the Bergmann Cleaners family from Philadelphia. That will drive him crazier than he is.

Heard about this a few days ago. I was more mad at the lady for agreeing to go on his show. She had to know he was a foul mouthed idiot. If she didn't, she should be more careful next time.
Anyway, I've never heard of him and hope to never again. Course, I don't run in those radical, hateful circles. Betcha Barry and Michelle like him.
And "Dusty in Memphis" is one of my all-time favorites.
I've always known that what the liberals cannot defeat, they infiltrate using

Local radio played parts of this, it makes me sick that this type of nonsense continues and it seems to be getting worse. The hatred dripping from this buffoons lips is palpable.

Germantown is a Memphis “suburb”....its own city, but considered by locals to be a part of Memphis in a general way. Poplar Avenue runs the length, starting at the Memphis Downtown area by the Mississippi River and extending out through the suburbs.
It’s what is on the “official” station info page... Go figure.
