A single EMP attack would certainly be a nuisiance, but it would be regional, not national in scope. Damaged electronics could be replaced. It would be no fun for the affected area but still would be like a power blackout, and we’ve dealt with such things before.

That said... I do believe Iran is up to something. They are about to make trouble, and it could be very bad.

So how many spare pole transformers are out there? And major substation transformers?

It ain't just computers and your LED watch.

The solar storm of 1859 burned out a lot of equipment and telegraph lines.

They don’t have to hit us here. They close Hormuz and it hits us hard anyway. And if you don’t think this is it consider Revelation where it talks about the 4 angels being released out of the pit, and the biggest one released is called Abaddon. The island in the narrowest part of the straight of Hormuz, where most consider the attack to close it would begin, is coincidentally named Abaddon.
