Yeah, got a friend in the AF Reserves. She’s probably screwed even though she is extremely good at what she does.

Many months ago, Obama and Congress cut food stamps by $10 billion to fund pay public school teachers. ...don't know whether or not that's been done again since then.

Little error on my part there. Correction: Obama and Congress cut food stamps by $10 billion to fund pay for public school teachers. Our local, federally funded government employees are members of both political parties, and they’ll be the last to take some serious budget and personnel (or “human resources”) cuts. That will most likely not be done until repudiation and currency adjustment time have arrived. The default process will be far rougher than most of us are willing to accept, and the process will continue to completion.
