The Occupy movement lost one of its most ardent supporters in the media Friday night.
On HBO's Real Time, host Bill Maher surprisingly said of the protesters, "As I watch them on the news now I find myself almost agreeing with Newt Gingrich. Like, you know what - get a job...Now it's just a bunch of [d-bags] who think throwing a chair through the Starbucks window is going to bring on the revolution" (video follows with transcript and commentary, vulgarity warning):
BILL MAHER: Let me ask you about another occupation, because this is - and you would be good on this too, panel -, the occupation, the Occupy Wall Street, because similar to Afghanistan, when you occupy anything for too long people do get pissed off. And as I watch them on the news now I find myself almost agreeing with Newt Gingrich. Like, you know what - get a job. Only because, you know, the people who originally started, I think they went home and now it's just these anarchist stragglers. And this is the problem when you, you know, when your movement involves sleeping over in the park. You wind up attracting the people who were sleeping over in the park anyway.

MAHER: And I think that's where we are now with the Occupy movement. They did a great job bringing the issue of income and equality to the fore, but now it's just a bunch of douchebags who think throwing a chair through the Starbucks window is going to bring on the revolution.
Truly surprising, especially coming less than two months after Time magazine gushed and fawned over the Occupy movement as it named "The Protester" its Person of the Year.
Makes you wonder if that magazine will come around, and when the rest of the liberal media will recognize that this movement is not what they hoped for.

Annierexia has been taking a pounding from conservatives lately due to her RINO-ish presidential preferences.
If conservatives had been paying attention to Coulter’s friends and dating partners over the years( like Maher, Geraldo), they would have been suspicious about her real beliefs long ago.
LOL, Maher just doesn’t want OWS parading the streets as we near November 2nd and hurting Barry’s re-election. OK, you’ve done your job, move along now!

What? Was he inside Starbucks? And when that chair went through the window, did he spill his frappuchino all over his Armani suit? Awww.....
Is Maher heavily invested in Starbucks???? But, I digress, it's probably because Dem's know they will get the majority of the bad press when the occupiers try to occupy the DNC convention.
That is what I will never understand my liberal friends say it is about the poor, trying to explain how giving them handouts hurts them is like talking to a rock. They really believe we need to give drug addicts handouts so they can continue buying drugs. Give food stamps to people that haven’t worked a day in their life, it makes me want to throw up.
He’s only saying this now because the Occupy Wall Street people’s antics are damaging the Democrat brand and diminishing Obama’s chances.
Too bad that Scripture and Christianity has become so disparaged in the US
Jesus addressed the problem when he talked about giving a man a fish vs. teaching him how to fish.
Tell that to a lib and it almost invariably goes in one ear and out the other.
Too much “giveaway” and society will eventually collapse.

I’m sure he got the word through the appropriate Democrat back channels, that being on the side of the Communists and Anarchists was hurting “The One” and it was time to throw the loyal brown shirts under the bus.
And yet OWS is the true face of the Democratic Party. And they see that they need to hide it. Taqqiyah. Maskirovka.
