Kraut says this was “the best of Newt and the worst of Newt”, meaning the best was his positive messages, whereas the worst was the detail he went into about Romney’s lying, dishonesty, etc. FNC thinks he’s “in the weeds” of minutia, flailing, “odd”, “shocked”, etc.

So methinks when you leave the pundit class thinking you’re off the rails on the crazy train, you’re probably doing something right.

These days, C-Span is a MUCH BETTER alternative to live Newt speeches and pressers (when covered, of course). I love that I could hear Newt speak for thirty minutes or so without some FOX/Romney talking head telling me what I just heard.

More and more, I can see a day when Fox News merges with CNN and ends the confusion.
