NEWT'S NEVADA PRESS CONFERENCE VIDEO (My title)
Freedom's Lighthouse ^ | 2-5-12 | Staff

Posted on 02/04/2012 10:10:58 PM PST by VinL

Here is complete video of a combative Newt Gingrich holding a Press Conference tonight after finishing a distant second or third (still unclear) in the Nevada GOP Caucuses. Gingrich said he is going to stay in the GOP Presidential Race until the end – all the way to the Convention in August. He predicted he will be back as the frontrunner by the time of the Texas Primary (April 3), and plans to focus on March 6 Super Tuesday states in the weeks ahead.

Gingrich slammed Mitt Romney over and over again, calling him “fundamentally dishonest,” and saying he has been “shocked” at how negative and dishonest Romney’s Campaign against him has been....

Newt, MAKE THIS ELECTION ABOUT THE SUPREME COURT APPOINTMENTS COMING UP IN THE NEXT PRESIDENT’S TERM.

What kind of judges would Mitt appoint? Scare the Bejezees out of Conservatives with that thought. Do we realy want to gamble on Mitt to appoint good supremes?

There are possibly F-O-U-R Supreme Court appointments ...

I agree with you, I wish Newt would refocus on Obama. When Newt’s conference came on, someone in our group said “how long before he starts talking about the poor people comment by Romney”. . .Sure enough, when he did, several people groaned and said it made Newt look very petty because Romney had already explained that multiple times. Too bad Newt didn’t mention the false employment numbers being spewed by Obama and his news organization!

I watched it live on FNC and thought he did a great job of responding to the questions from the reporters, many of whom were obviously trying to goad him into stating gaffs.

Bret Baer’s panel of Steve Hayes, Bill Kristol, AB Stoddard and Charles K all thought Newt did a horrible job. I couldn’t believe their reactions. Those idiot journalists/reporters and telepromter readers that live in DC and the North East don’t seem to know anything about what Conservatives think. They are all locked into their paradigms founded on the liberal principles where they have lived for so long. .....I was severely disappointed in FNC’s analysis of Newt’s presser.

by the time of the Texas Primary (April 3)

That is still up in the air. The date will apparently be moved back. The reapportionment district redraw by the 3-judge panel is still playing games with TX. (on Obozo's orders) After the appeals court smacked them down, they are still being Dems.

If he’s combative it’s because the press is overwhelmingly negative about his campaign. With every question you can hear the narrative that they’re spinning, and they obviously have no interest in discussing ideas or positivity.

Going after obama is good, but the best will be to go after them at the same time.
Always make it Gingrich vs obama/romney. For example -
romney is obama-lite
Romney = obama = food stamp president (if elected)
Romney = obama = canned speech
Romney = obama = big gaffe etc etc.

All based on facts of course.

Gingrich has tried ‘silence’, clean campaign and he was sunk in Iowa!

When it comes to obama and romney you guys are all ‘forgiving’; when it comes to Gingrich, you expect saint-like, turn-the-other-cheek behavior!

That is what the GOP did - play it fair and nice and get butchered by the Dems everytime!

Even obama gets butchered when he ‘played nice’ with the terrorists!

He has aloud Romney to get into his head

The very same silly suggestion was made at the presser. One could as well say the MSM has allowed Newt to get into their heads. Newt is trying his best not to allow a liberal RINO to get into the White House.

I hope you don't teach history. Paul Revere would have "aloud" the British to get into his head? FDR let Hitler get into his?

NEWS FLASH to Newt, you may HATE Romney and FR may hate him but the VAST majority of voters do not HATE him. They may have reservations, but not hate.

The voters are having their say. ABO. The results in the upcoming southern states will give us a better sense of the end game. I don't like any of the nominees but will I vote for the last man standing to get the arrogant punk out of our WH. You bet.

Thanks for posting. I had read a couple negative articles about it and wanted to see it firsthand and judge for myself. Newt spoke on his own for about 4 minutes. The rest of the 22 minutes was responding to questions from the media. And clearly the media was smelling blood and sought to create a more combative and negative Newt. He took some of the bait but only to draw contrasts of him with Romney and express his disgust at the low level that Willard's political minions go to. These answers were not whining or excuse making. And the accusations were truth about Romney.

This whole thing was started by one of the reporters saying that don't the primary election results mean ... "the people aren't buying what you are selling". Newt responded that he didn't believe that and proceeded to explain the many factors involved in why Romney won in several of the states.

Newt just kept hammering back with measured and factual responses that CONTRASTED him with Romney, whom he does not think can beat 0bama so he's still going to keep campaigning, contrasting and fighting to win.

This was a defiant Newt matter-of-factly saying he intended to keep campaigning and win the nomination.

I have turned them all off. I have stopped watching Fox News, which was the only one TV news site I had been watching. Additionally, I have stopped listening to all the so called ‘conservative’ main line radio programs like Rush, Hannity, and Levin. No more BS from them and patronizing from me. They are only showman and theater. Now, my exclusive sources are Internet sites that I have carefully screened for fairness and objectivity.

I have mixed emotions on it. On the one hand, Newt really only scores points with voters when he is on the attack against Obama and liberals. That’s the only mode that works for him.

On the other hand, the campaign against him is the damnedest thing I’ve ever seen in intensity - way above what even Sarah Palin went through. Thus it would require a super human discipline not to fire back at it, and Newt is not blessed with that particular gift.

I think Mitt’s people - and Santorum and Paul - know that when everyone is talking about Obama, Newt wins. When everyone’s throwing food at each other, Newt loses. So Mitt (and Santorum) and Paul have turned it into an internal food fight on purpose.

Sad ... and so true it would seem. Hopefully Newt devises a way to break out of this Mitt and media-driven "Gauntlet".

Gingrich’s Deep Ties to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
By ERIC LICHTBLAU

WASHINGTON — On a trip to Ireland in 1998, Speaker Newt Gingrich researched his Irish roots, discussed the prospects for peace in Northern Ireland and entertained speculation about his presidential ambitions. He even donned work gloves and blue jeans to help build a home in Belfast for a good-will project.

There are many thousands just like you that really thought Gingrich was going after Obama but with all of this seeming vendetta against the cardboard man lately it sours many people that were for Newt going all the way. :(
