As a parent, I learned that when a teenager is talking nonsense, it usually means they are basing their comments on having skin jn a game they don’t want you to know about. At its simplest, it means they are lying. But they may be lying for a reason unknown to you.

I think the same is going on with Coulter, et-al. I think they know or believe things we are not privy to, and end up taking a position that makes no sense to us.

Frankly, since they are obviously in a position to have information sources we don’t have, it’s a little scary.

You may be spot on with your suggestion. Far too many whom we’ve considered solid conservatives have shown a tendency toward moderation lately. I too think something’s going on. And I don’t like it.

IMHO, somebody made a large purchase of Coulter’s book. We’re talking by the truckload.

Considering how much money Romney has passed out in recent years to buy politicians (including things like paying of Pawlenty’s campaign debt), and how much he spent in Florida, the cost of buying a ton of books to ensure a “conservative” author is on his side is certainly a reasonable suspicion.

There’s a clip of Coulter saying, ‘I support Christie because otherwise we’ll get Romney and we’ll lose.’ Seems to me her original read on the candidates ‘might’ have been pragmatic, and given what’s going on, we’ll see, but showed a real lack of faith in Conservatism winning the day. I think she will regret having to shill for Romney.

Yours is an insightful post. I've always said, "When 2 + 2 = 5 or 7 you are missing one or three important pieces of information." Unfortunately much of what is happening today in Washington D.C. is more like 2 + 2 = 2.7 million.

TS

Yeah, they were screwing you all along. Now they have no recourse but to expose themselves. The subtleness that was always there is gone.

I think you are correct. I wondered if Romney had asked John Bolton to be Secretary of State. That would do it.
