Mrs. Brady rips Tom’s teammates for dropping passes (What number was she?)

And here comes the drama.

After last night’s 21-17 loss in the Super Bowl, the wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was making her way to the team’s locker room. Along the way, Gisele Bundchen (I continue to refuse to call her a “supermodel” until she displays at least one super power) vented regarding the inability of some of Tom’s teammates to secure balls that hit them in the hands.

“You [have] to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” she said in a video posted by TheInsider.com, via TBL. “My husband cannot ******* throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

I don't know if see wears the pants but she definitly makes more money. In June 2011, Forbes magazine estimated that Bundchen's total earnings over the last 10 years have passed the $250 million mark. Wiki

Big whoop to do. It’s nothing more than a wife sticking up for her husband...ould have been done w/out the obcenities, however...I doubt she was thinking at the time, just reacting...Brady is tight with his receivers, who are NOT known for dropping anything...when a model is involved, it will be done with more ego. I hope they can stay married as most stars last 5 yrs tops. He’ll say something publically and it would be nice actually if she called the receivers on her cell and apologized.

I’m not making excuses for anyone. All I am saying is that although the call may be the same, there is a big difference between having a guy caught on the field with a quick snap and lining up 12 guys...

It's obvious from his neighbors digs why Brady changed the plans to make his castle bigger.

"What the wife says will not be a problem between them. It may be between Tom and his wife however."

Hardly. Sheesh, people.....she only said what thousands of other NFL wives, college wives/girlfriends/mothers, etc. have said since football was invented.

The ONLY difference is who she's married to and the fact that she's uber-hot so she has mics shoved into her face 24/7.

They're husband and wife, fercryinoutloud, and if some venting caused such oh-so-serious marital problems, then they have MUCH bigger problems than some public comments about dropped passes.

Exactly. When that happened, I said to my family, "oh boy, this could really come back to haunt them."

And I said "oh boy, this is going to really screw up the pools!" and it did! But then I guess so would have them converting that 2 point conversion. It's a real crap shoot I guess.

"You really think all of those passes were championship-quality passes? That each of the receivers was 100% to blame and the passes were 100% perfect?

You should spend some more time watching/playing football and reevaluate your statement."

Hmmmm.....well, as a football fan, etc. for decades, I'd say (since we're focused primarily on the last 4th quarter drive) that Brady did a spectacular job. He was missing some key players, to be sure....but by God, when your quarterback hits you IN THE HANDS, and you're being paid 7 figures to catch footballs, then yeah...the receivers deserve the lion's share of the blame in this case.

when your quarterback hits you IN THE HANDS

Welker spoke like a man and took the blame, but watch the tape.

He strained mightily to make that pass look like it "hit his hands" - it actually would have hit his shoulder from behind had he been a midrange NFL receiver.

Brady's passes were less than perfect and the receivers' grabs were less than perfect.

It's a shared burden.

Wes Welker has been catching balls a lot tougher than that, week in and week out, for a long time. If you need to pick up the first down and you need to send a receiver across the middle to catch the ball and take the hit, there is nobody in football who does it better than Wes Welker.

I despise the Patriots, but you would have to be blind not to see that.

Welker is the very epitome of a clutch player. He got his hands on this ball, but did not manage to pull it down. As somebody who has seen his team burned by Welker time and tima again, I was shocked to see him finally miss a ball.

But you can’t hold it against him. Welker is money in the bank, but nobody catches everything. That is why Gisele’s comment is so stupid. She is criticizing Wes Welker for being unable to catch a football, and that is just ridiculous.

You’re not the first here to assume I was referring to Welker.

I wasn’t.

I don’t even know the guy’s name.....went downfield in that final drive (tall black dude)....ball LITERALLY hit him right in his hands; no catch.

It was pathetic for a supposed pro.
