WOW! What a statement. First of all, 46% of Catholics did not vote for Obama! They voted for McCain.
Second, like every other gorup, there are many independent Catholoics who voted for Obama. Then there are well meaning liberal Catholics who voted for Obama too.
I personally know 2 ladies in my parish who were for Obama. I confronted them with the fact that Obama was very much anti-life, but they thought it was OK, since they had a history of voting for Democrats, and they thought the Republican party was not so much for the poor (heard that before??). Well, I certainly let them know that I would never vote for anyone who was disrespectful of human life. I happen to know these ladies are good practicing Catholic women. I told them I hoped that I was wrong about Obama because I did not trust him at all. I cannot help but think that they are now regretting voting for Obama. I wonder if they will ever admit their error? Especially since I told them that in Hitler’s Germany the Nazis began slowly until they had everyone under their power.
Look, I’m a Catholic that goes to Mass every day.....Practicing Catholics who have a BRAIN would NOT vote for Obama.
