The only way Newt can win is if Santorum either drops out or people finally see through his campaign for what it is (spoiler). Clearly the establishment is funding to keep Santorum alive.

Once again, we see that Romney is at around 34-35% and conservatives are around 45%.

C’mon, Rick, please bow out with grace and for the cause of Conservatism. If you don’t, Romney wins pretty much by default. If you can make a deal with Newt to be his Veep, then the 2 of you together can beat him and then Obama. Bush did a similar deal in 1980, and he ended up as POTUS 8 years later. I would expect the same for you. Please,
Rick, we have to beat Romney.

The Anti-Newt vote is up to 52% (Romney + Santorum)

The only way Newt can win is ironically, if all 3 non-Romney candidates stay in, ushering in a brokered convention.

Can Newt and Rick just draw straws, flip a coin or play rock, paper, scissors? Mitt needs to be stopped, and it won’t happen with both of them in the race.

This poll says that if Santorum dropped out, Gingrich would gain 1% on Romney.

Actually- it’s all about money, isn’t it? Romney can overwhelm Newt or Rick with neg. ads— but harder to do with 2 in the race. And as long as Rick and Newt will be adult and ultimately cooperative, they can bring him down.

Newt has not said 1 bad word about Rick- now Rick should respond in kind. They have to double team the GOP-E.

Really, where did the other 17% go?

Did they poll what would happen to Santorum’s numbers if Newt dropped out?

Yes. “Pitted against Santorum, Romney leads 50% to 38%” (see article)
