We need to put that into "context".
To do that, we need to know what had just happened before that.
Let's start with "Ananias, with Sapphira his wife", whom "Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost ... have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord".
They both died immediately, "And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things."
Then, the "Establishment" ... "were filled with indignation, and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison".
But the LORD released them to do His work, and the "Establishment" "doubted of them whereunto this would grow ... for they feared the people".
Then, "the Establishment" questioned them and threatened them.

"Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said,
We ought to obey God rather than men.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
And we are his witnesses of these things;
and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them."

Then, a lawyer told the "Establishment" to

"to put the apostles forth a little space ...
... Refrain from these men, and let them alone:
for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought ...
"

Then finally, we get to the truth of the matter.

"But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it;
lest haply ye be found even to fight against God."

But it didn't end there.
The "Establishment" still

"called the apostles, and beaten them,
they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go."

But what did the apostles do?

"rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name.
And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."

Don't listen to the "Establishment".
Speak the truth, and OBEY the LORD!

I could vote for Santorum, but a Romney vote is out of the question for me.

I really think you are speaking for many FReepers. While my first choice will be Newt, right on through the convention, if Santorum is ultimately the candidate, I will have no problem voting for him, and I dare say it will not be a "holding my nose" kind of vote.

On the other hand ...if Mitt Romney is the ultimate nominee to face Obama, I will NOT vote for him (doesn't even matter about my nose). Bishop Mitt Romney is unacceptable and is being revealed as Obama-lite every time the comparisons between Romneycare and Obamacare are made public.

The latest evidence is the mandate for religious organizations to be forced to comply with birth control requirements regardless of their convictions.
