Hi. The establishment types are indeed terrified. They know they can't put together a substitute for Myth in time to win the primary process. As to a brokered convention, there's no way the combination of Newt and Santorum delegates would allow a RINO to grab it (although they might try with Daniels). They do have lots of money. See tag line below.

Here's what I think might happen:

They'll get rid of Zero and throw their money at a Democrat, maybe even repackaging Hillary! as a "moderate."

They have plenty to get rid of Zero; all they have to do is have the media and the "moderate" Democrats crank up Fast and Furious. It would help them hold the Senate to be seen as supporting the Second Amendment. The problem there is that Hillary! is neck deep in the gunrunning scheme, indeed, perhaps at its root. So upon whom they'll settle in this scenario I really don't know.

Hi. The establishment types are indeed terrified.  I agree.  They know they can't put together a substitute for Myth in time to win the primary process. No, but they sure came up with a guy with serious enough flaws to replace him if they couldn't get the guy they wanted.  As to a brokered convention, there's no way the combination of Newt and Santorum delegates would allow a RINO to grab it (although they might try with Daniels).  I agree with your logic here, but I do believe one person who shall go without being mentioned for obvious reasons, although not a full blown 'RINO', is still a lock on 'rino' due to serious flaws. They do have lots of money.  I agree.  See tag line below.  I did, and I don't think there's any denying the truth of it.  Rove et al have made it crystal clear what their preferences are.  Now they just have to wear that around their neck in perpetuity.

Here's what I think might happen:

They'll get rid of Zero and throw their money at a Democrat, maybe even repackaging Hillary! as a "moderate."  I find that a plausable scenario.  Compared to Obama, Hillary does look somewhat moderate.  Then you have to remind yourself that she does, because she wasn't given free reign to do exactly what she wanted to, most likely very close to what Obama has done.  She isn't Islamic, but she hates this nation enough to have mirrored him quite closely, and perhaps even more effectively, since she's such a caniving BeAach.  No doubt about it, she would have done her best to destroy this nation too, if she had been elected president.

Good points.  Although a lot of folks will disagree, I think the birther route would be a whole lot easier, if they really put their mind to it.  Couple that with revealing a lot of information about how he attended school in Asia, and how he actually got admitted to an Ivy League school, and I think this guy's goose would be cooked.  This would also serve to rehab the Left's anti-US leanings, making them sound almost loyalist.  It would also leave Hillary in pristine condition before the Leftist leaning public's eyes.

Thanks for the comments.  Hope things are going good for you.
