An SUV was driven up the front steps of the downtown PNC Firstside Center and hit the entrance of the building on Tuesday afternoon.
Sources told Channel 4 Action News that, as the driver of the Hyundai Santa Fe fled the crash scene, he claimed to be with Occupy Pittsburgh and said there might be an explosive device inside the vehicle.
"He came down here and he stopped at the stop sign, and then he went straight up into the building. He didn't go fast," witness Ashley Corek said. "And then he got up and walked out, and then went up the street. That's it."
Pittsburgh police cordoned off the area for a while and set up a perimeter while a bomb squad unit investigated, but no explosives were found.
No employees or customers were injured in the crash. Police said they believe the vehicle had been stolen from the Green Tree area.

Reading the headline, I assumed that this was another case of the SUV as an autonomous killing machine.

Apparently, it’s just the Tea Partiers and their pernicious signs which instill terror, not driving vehicles through buildings while claiming to have an explosive. I must have misunderstood ‘terrorism’.
Thes kids are beginning to get violent.
That is what happens when you allow them to break small laws ,they grow and start violating larger ones.

The occupiers are camped out at a privately owned park near the crash site. The owners successfully obtained a court order to remove the bums, but so far they have not. I can’t understand why. About all they have dine is put up No Trespassing signs around the park. What good is that going to do?
It was luck no one was hurt in yesterday’s incident. But the longer these criminals are coddled, the more likely something tragic is going to happen. Time to bring in the billy clubs, tasers and if necessary, firearms.

All the Pittsburgh police have to do is stake out the Thomas Merton center, and the perp will eventually show up there. It is ground zero for Commies in the ‘Burgh.

So I guess the car wasn’t stolen, after all? Some very poor reporting here, or something odd going on.
Probably bad reporting. You won’t find many names duplicated between the rosters of journalists and Mensa.
I’m guessing our friend left the scene and then reported the car stolen. The trouble is that twenty thousand security cameras caught him, and the popo noticed a distinct resemblance between the camera footage and our man’s driver license photo. Bit of a problem with the alibi, you see..
