Not sure if Turkish papers are more credible than Debka. But if true the Turks would be happy about 15,000 armed Persians in Syria.

if true

That is the key phrase. I'd like confirmation, but this is a major step in an interesting direction, if true.

From reports off ALgezeera blogs (Syrian) some on the ground are saying Iranians and Hezbollah forces are operating the tanks as some of Assad's men were driving them over to FSA lines. Just as some of Qadaffi's men did in Libya.

Iranians already had a large presence in Latakia, so this report and others not hard to believe. Also, some say they are sealing tank hatches after putting Assad's men inside so they will fight. No choice. Fight or burn.

Another report has it that a large tank force got bush- whacked by FSA after going up a narrow mountain road near border with Leb. Events are getting much worse. Heavy shelling into civilian areas, etc.

...assisting in the suppression of the Syrian protestors.... The Quds forces will act as a firewall for the Assad regime as the Syrian army is finding itself in a difficult situation where many officers are joining the opposition because they do not approve of the mass killings of the civilians, which so far has taken the lives of more than 5,000 people.

Kind of puts it all in perspective. Iran has been supporting worldwide terrorism for a long time and working hard at establishing domination over many other countries. They believe that they have a historic right to dominate many other countries and be a world power. Unfortunately, the oil money that they have is funding nuclear bomb making and missile technology.

while they need to be stopped, I am not sure that should be the job of the USA. Hopefully, when they cross the line of blocking the flow of oil out of the middle east, a multinational coalition will initiate regime change in Iran and the world will be a better place.
