When I first heard the ad, I assumed the “halftime” was referring to Obama’s unfinished American makeover needing another term. In my opinion, it WAS a political ad disguised as a car ad. I think Eastwood got played.

I was totally taken in and never equated anything beyond a need for the Nation to get its act together before it’s too late. I knew Eastwood’s conservative background so accepted it for what it was worth. Guess I was wrong.

That's how I took it, too. On face value.
