It's not silly. Within five or ten years, the narrative's going to be this: Rep. Gabby Giffords was shot down in the street by one of the founders of the Tea Party, who was egged on by things he heard during a Sarah Palin conference call.

Conservatives and Tea Partiers will object, we'll scream and gnash our teeth, and the MSM will completely ignore us. The narrative will be what it is, and it will be forever.
