When Newt was way ahead I urged Santorum to drop out... now I must do that same to Newt. How about Newt stays in and pushes Romney into 3rd place? he's only 6 pts back.
I don't think 1-on-1 is the best way to face Romney - if Santorum had dropped out, Romney would have destroyed Newt with negative ads and cruised to the nomination. 1-on-1 vs Santorum he could still do the same.
When you've got a Romney down, don't take your boot off his throat!
Think on the spectacle being a tag-team wrestling match.
First Newt was beating the heck out of Romney. Romney came back swinging wildly and got in a good punch to knock Newt off balance...Newt takes a step back, allows Romney to swing at the wind. Santorum is tagged, jumps into the ring, POW, POW POW. He takes it to Romney. Now it is Romney turning in the ring, trying to figure out who he is...maybe a severe conservative,...probably not. In the mean time Rick is still getting in a couple of punches getting, ready to tag Uncle Paul who will get a few licks in too. Newt is getting back on his feet, sees the real target, BO< and will be ready to take Romney on once again.
Each time one of the candidate jump into the ring the crowd roars....Their numbers soar. Loser will be Romney. He just hasn't figured it out yet. After all he bought the shiniest robe, shorts, gloves and the refs and arena are also bought and paid for by his blind trusts.
