Step by step, sometimes her road had bumps in it but now she treads the streets of gold, another beautiful voice in the heavenly choir. I’ll always remember her “Star Spangled Banner” rendition.
A tremendous loss and so sad!
She was blessed with one of the greatest voices of our time.
May she rest in peace!

MTV actually interrupted Jersey Shore to show Whitney Houston videos.
Took several years for her to kill herself. She must have had a good family and or base of support to keep alive that long. Hope she rests in peace.

Mr G worked with her about 20 years ago. That was pre drug usage, or just at the beginning of it. She was truly spectacular.
He said she was a comet..... full of fire and beauty, and burned out quickly.
I just turned on MTV and Whitney was there. I am in shock because they are showing videos.

Honestly, I don’t really care about Jersey Shore.
People always inflate those that seem to bring about their own end prematurely.
We have had several teen car crashes around where we are and the girls were drinking and running from cops. We hear what awesome and good girls they were. Really?
Whitney’s been on drugs for a long time. She’s never taken herself out of the danger triggers she knows she has, and now it finally caught her. I’m not going to say she’s a great person. It’s an insult to the truly great people we’ve lost to call a once mega-celebrity who never was able to give up drugs, a great person. Great talent doesn’t equal great person.
She had great talent at one point, and lost it because of her own choices. I wish she wouldn’t have wasted it. I wish she wouldn’t have ended her life prematurely. I wish she was still alive and had never been on drugs to begin with. But it’s just wishes. I hope she really knew Christ as Savior and Lord.
Having been here a long time, I remember alot. You are someone I cherish. When I heard this tonight, I cried. And then I remembered those that did not give in, those that rose above the addiction..
My brother, Barry, recently stopped drinking after 30 years of the bottle. I am overcome with joy that he has chosen life.
