See post 152. I forgot to ping you to it.
The hue and cry that's emerging in these quarters over the vetting of Santorum's Senate voting record is astounding to me. It would be more honest if his supporters would admit that he's a 'compassionate conservative' like Bush (which is little different than the nanny state libs we're trying to defeat), but they don't do that. They shoot every messenger they run across, with both barrels.
Just read it. You are so good! nailed it friend!

A humorless Bush reincarnate as I recently mentioned. And quite a bit more paternalistic.
No thanks, Rick. Come back in 2020 with some more wisdom under your belt.
Yeah, I noticed. I also notice that a lot of them think that the reason folks like you and me reject Santorum is because we "hate" him. We're just cutting lose with "deranged hatefulness" when we talk about his Churchy self-righteousness, supporting the labor unions, fighting against food stamp reductions, and voting all kinds of taxpayer funds for Head Start, etc.
"Hatred." "Deranged hatefulness." Hmmmmmmm ... What candidate's supporters' MO of four years ago does that remind you of?
I do wish the Santorum supporters would explain what makes him qualified to be president.
What has he managed? What committees did he serve on? What legislation did he propose ... and get passed? What legislation did he oppose, and why? What are his memorable Senate speeches? What does he think of right to work and union issues? What would he cut from the budget and does his “list” include the military?
Who is this man other than a socially conservative candidate?
I assume folks want me to vote for him. I’m open to doing that but I need to know who I am voting for.
