If Jeb Bush is proposed, so Sarah Palin should be minutes later. She is now and always has been the singular Jacksonian voice in the original Tea Party phenomenon; the only one who can bring it to the mainstream. Her absence from the primary race has left a vacuum and no substitute has been found. Every other possible or potential leadership hopeful has risen and receded in this long Republican primary season.

He would certainly galvanize the liberals - but so will Palin. Bring it on, I say! Sarah will galvanize the conservative base. I think this election may be a battle for the soul of America, and I want a REAL conservative to be one of the battlers.
Funny how the beltway repubs periodically roll out Jeb Bush’s name as a not-so-veiled threat.
Sarah Palin smartly reponded to the Jeb Bush nonsense by saying a brokered convention would not be a bad idea. If the Country Club Republicans try to put Jeb in charge, they will have to face Palin in the process - which will not be an easy thing to do. By that time, most conservative Republicans will probably be ready to coalesce around Palin for president, leaving Santorum and Newt behind. I am glad that she said what she said.

Ever hear of a metaphor? I dont think he meant personal lord and savior, personal redeemer, messiah.
I think “savior” was being used in a political sense, vis-a-vis the republican party. It ain’t rocket science.

If they ram Cristie or Jeb in to the nom. position I will stay home and NEVER vote for a republican again, ever.
All this talk about Palin being the eventual nominee via a brokered convention is nonsense. I think she made it quite clear she is not running in 2012.
If THIS is what is needed, and the voice of the people be damned, why not nullify the primaries, nullify the national election and auction the POTUS office on e-bay?

The bizarre thing was that Gingrich came out and opposed the Obama mandate days before Santorum even knew about it...and the press never reported it. This was while he was still in Florida.
That said, I think the winner is going to be Romney. Santorum has no selling power because he’s not personable, not conservative in any way except pro-life, and he is clueless about economics and has always voted for every government welfare program that came down the pike. Romney has no ideas, but neither does Santorum, and things will settle down after Santorum’s mini-bump with two non-binding caucuses and Romney will come out ahead again.
If it goes to a brokered convention, I think the winner will still be Romney. The GOP wouldn’t even want Jeb Bush in there (he’s much more conservative than they like) and I know they sure wouldn’t let Palin get into it.
Frankly, unless a giant airplane crash takes out all of them on their way to the convention, I think we have to work with what we’ve got and not fantasize.
I hope Sarah is doing some behind the scenes work, because if there is any truth to this rumor,you Jeb is lining up establishment GOP votes.
I disagree....Palin has always been about being the reluctant servant....she has stated so in so many words. If she was asked to serve in such a situation with the Establishment trying to get their guys in after the first ballot, I’m sure she would accept the challenge
And if they do, I won’t vote.
