You’re confusing me, my friend. Wouldn’t it be to Rick’s disadvantage if Newt campaigned in Migh-— and split the conservatives?
It rates them annually while they are in Congress, and the ratings are based purely on how they vote. Here’s a link showing Newt had a lifetime rating of 90 after his last year in Congress, 1998: http://www.conservative.org/ratings/ratingsarchive/1998/98houseratings.htm
The 100 rating was for just the year of 1998. In the previous year, 1997, Newt received a 75.
Let’s see Saint Rick studder his way through this little scandal after it hits the MSM. And it WILL hit the bigtime, you can be sure.
This is a 6-min video simply and clearly explaining Rs... his big govt positions, his similarity to the big spenders in congress, and it is very compelling and easy to understand for lazy conservatives... I have shown it to several sanctorum’s supporters and they were taken aback... and I’d tried lots of other things before...
the narrator starts with a line about with govt spending, the deficit, the runaway federal programs, major concerns in the TP, rick santorum really isn’t what he seems... please if you have 6 min, have a look...

LOL! can’t win an arguement, so like Santorum you start grasping at straws.
Can’t win an argument, do yo understand how averages work? 90 is his average rating, 100 was what he got one year.
Oh, don’t worry, even Santorum was hoping this one would just dry up. But after he attacked Newt, payback is coming, and Saint Rick can’t handle the heat. He comes apart like wet tiolet paper.
OK genius, you show me where I ever said that Newt had a “life Time” rating of 99. That is something that you dreamed up. Period.
I suggest that you start sticking to things that actually matter and quit wasting your time spinning trivial cotton candy.
In post 43, you said: “Newt did not garner a 99% Conservative rating during his career for nothing.” There is a bigger difference between Newt’s real lifetime rating of 90 and your statement of a lifetime of 99 than Newt’s lifetime of 90 and Santorum’s lifetime of 88.
I don’t care why Adelson gives Newt the money. I just hope he does it.
There’s the clever one— you got it! -:)
Everyone is in the race to help Romney. Romney is in the race to help Obama. There is no Republican opposition. “The empire never ended”
As I read this article, it says that Adelson will fund Newt so that Newt can knock Santorum out of the race. He wants to do that so Romney will win the nomination according to the article.
Am I reading it wrong?
He is Bush III, fiscally. I would say he is just a generic Bush, except the others could win congeniality awards and had executive experience and much better resumes and could get things through Congress and had worn the uniform of their country and I could go on and on.
Just because the article says something doesn’t mean it’s correct.
I would join VinL in asking the question, if Adelson is actually for Romney, why not simply avoid helping anyone else and simply help Romney?
VinL also points out in his posts the two men, Adelson and Newt, have been close friends for many years.
Remember, it’s the Wall Street Journal, which is pushing for Romney.
I suspect Adelson fears that Santorum would lose badly to Obama in the general election, so the he wants him out of the race. At times, Santorum sounds like he’s running for pope, not president. We don’t need a pope. We already have one. But we don’t have a president. We have a radical-in-chief.
Santorum’s recent comment that as president he would fight ‘the dangers of contraception’ is the kind of thing that will send independents running back to Obama in droves.
