Megadeth's Dave Mustaine endorses Santorum

Dave Mustaine, leader of the heavy metal band Megadeth, is ready to rock out for Rick Santorum.

"Earlier in the election, I was completely oblivious as to who Rick Santorum was, but when the dude went home to be with his daughter when she was sick, that was very commendable,” Mustaine recently told MusicRadar.com. “... You know, I think Santorum has some presidential qualities, and I'm hoping that if it does come down to it, we'll see a Republican in the White House... and that it's Rick Santorum."

Weighing in on the rest of the field, Mustaine called Newt Gingrich an “angry little man” and said Ron Paul will “make total sense for a while, and then he'll say something so way out that it negates everything else.”

As for Mitt Romney, the rocker said, “I've got to tell you, I was floored the other day to see that Mitt Romney's five boys have a $100 million trust fund. Where does a guy make that much money? So there's some questions there.”

Still, Mustaine would pick any of the GOP candidates over President Barack Obama.

"I'm just hoping that whatever is in the White House next year is a Republican,” he said. “I can't bear to watch what's happened to our great country. Everybody's got their head in the sand. Everybody in the industry is like, 'Oh, Obama's doing such a great job. ...' I don't think so. Not from what I see.”

Nuge takes no prisoners when it comes to the left! He was on Miller’s program not too far back and Miller, a man not known to be a loss for words, couldn’t get a word in edgewise. I think even he was impressed with Ted’s linguistic abilities.

Now we need “Lt. Dan” and Ted Nugent. Any thoughts? (Just openly, seditiously strategizing here on FR).....

We played a show with Motorhead in 1986 in St. Bernard Parish, LA.

They are a bunch of c*nts.

Pity what happened to their tour bus in the parking lot when they started messing with our fans.

Megadeath sucks, just like that creep lawyer Santorum.

The question is, who will Metallica endorse?

Cool. I’ve always like Megadeth even though I haven’t bought any of their stuff since SFSGSW. They had some crap for a while, then came back with some good stuff, but I never got back into them. Between Dave Mustaine and Dave Ellefson they bad some good stuff. I saw them when Testament and Overkill opened for them in Sacramento in 1986 at a 200 capacity club for the Peace Sells (or maybe SFSGSW by then) and always flash back to that gig as one of my most memorable. I stole a pick from Ellefson’s mic stand that night and got Dave’s autograph behind the club after the show. Great memories. I’m proud to still be a daily hardcore metalhead and party animal.
