Catholic group sues over birth control compromise

A Catholic group has filed suit in federal court against the Obama administration's rule mandating that all women have access to birth control without a copay, alleging that it still forces employers to violate the dictates of their faith.

Priests for Life, a New-York based pro-life organization, alleges that the administration's compromise requiring insurance companies to offer the coverage free of charge, rather than religious employers, still forces religious employers to violate their conscience.

"The so-called 'accommodation' offered by the Administration does not solve the moral or legal problems employers face, and against which Priests for Life is objecting. Moreover, these 'accommodations' have not been translated into policy. At this point, they are simply a presidential speech," the group said in a release.

If you look at some of the ridiculous comments posted at the bottom of that Politico article....Wow. This country is in bad shape.

1. It isn't law. It is a diktat.
2. There is no way the diktat would get out of a Congressional committee as a stand alone law. (After 39 years, there is no law guaranteeing abortion either.)
3. “Nor prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” is the forgotten clause of the 1st Amendment.
4. Ninth Amendment catch all guarantee to Natural Rights has been excised from the Constitution.
5. Oh, there is no enumerated power behind Obamacare.
6. Watch for the judicial fantasy term, “compelling State interest” in the decision. It is a statist term that means the Fascist State wins, the individual loses.

O.K. Here's the test to determine if free contraception is really free to the Catholic entity employing the recipients of said “free’ contraception.

Ask an uninvolved Insurance company not providing your employees general coverage to provide the “free” coverage.

...There is no such thing as free coverage.
