If there is disagreement on positions, I generally welcome the debate. But your descent to the vile depths of inflammatory innuendo and falsehood smacks of the intolerance that finds a happy home in the camps of the lefties, not here. Your comment that I, like Lincoln, didn’t give a rat’s ass about blacks or slavery is a base and foul slander.

Whenever you speak, something is subtracted from the sum total of human knowledge.

19th century politics weren't much about caring and sharing. At least in the free states the emphasis was on independence and self-reliance, but in the context of the times, Lincoln probably "cared" more about slaves and Blacks than most of his countrymen.

You go on and on about how Northerners robbed Southern planters of their earnings, so it wouldn't be hard to conclude that you were forgetting about a large part of the Southern population and didn't care about whether they were being robbed or not. That's textbook "not caring."

But of course, I was speaking tongue in cheek. Your cheap shot deserved a response in the same spirit. And you set it up so well that anybody would have been tempted to take a swing at it.
