I'm beginning to see some parallels between what Washington faced that cold winter night with so few soldiers and where we stand today in our battle to defeat an opponent just as powerful today as the British Empire was then: Our ever-expanding and 'rights' reducing federal government.

Another, is Washington's use of Thomas Paine's writing to inspire those who remained in the fight that night. I can see another 'modern' figure whose inspirational appearances at rallies have out-performed all others, namely, Sarah Palin.

We will already know the fate of this country after this next important election by who we select to 'represent' us. We will know as much, the way Washington knew he had to have a victory (which resulted in the 15 thousand volunteers joining his army), because whoever leads us into November will have to do the same. Or, they won't.

Hey that’s just grand! I remember my first time giving to Newt’s campaign....it really sealed the deal for me and felt fabulous!

As for donations to FR....I can’t seem to satisfy my need to give more than I do but my goal is to become a monthly donor....maybe that’s the secret to having that need fulfilled! Hopefully it won’t be too long before I can do that....that’s the plan anyway...especially with the election coming up.

I know I think the same here Moonhawk......it defies imagination. Do they honestly somehow think this election is just another Presidential election? Because it's not...it's a vote for or against our country and there simply is no candidate other than Newt up for the job at hand with our country in the place that it is.

IMO whoever gets the Presidency will be telling of the future this country will see ahead. ..and that mindset of the American people on the whole.

I was beyond concerned so many had fallen for Obamas crap and wouldn't look at the truth about him when he was running. But in this Rep. primary I'm equally concerned of those who claim to be conservative yet cannot see what is needed for this country to survive the onslaught against it. Only Newt can change the course....all others are self-serving in their run...Newt has nothing to loose by giving it his all and he will do just that against a host of opposition!

Sure he works, the Dem/Soros/Liberal party's will pay you by direct deposit for that type of work. The same people paid to get rid of Cain and Palin... now they want newt gone. Obama is scared of those people and he already got Cain and Palin out... So just one left to bump out.

The prospects are not good for Newt and that makes me very sad. Newts stance on so many things are right, but I care more about his stand on SCOTUS. He will appoint the right justices who will roll back the left for 50 years.

From there everything else is important, but just gravy. A real good flavor to all of it.

Yes, it IS a decisive battle. If only every Freeper would talk and encourage the family, friends, colleagues, neighbors to volunteer for his campaign, promoting Newt and his ideas, and voting for him, the battle for a prosperous America will be won.

Newt said that he doesn’t want only a Republican campaign, but an AMERICAN one. Every American concerned by the country decay and radical indoctrination should join him.

Have you all thought of a "Linked-in" type of vetting set up from now until the election?
The zot thing is working to get the established/grandfathered trolls out, but we need to keep new trolls out. Do we really want them working against our efforts from now till the election?

That will help to keep the focus on getting good conservatives in. NEWT primarily.....West is another one. Talk about a dream ticket. Newt./West with Cain, Palin, Jindal, Rubio, Gulliani, we can pick the others, but this needs to be our core.
Me, I am biased and have on this forum been VERY consistent about protecting and expanding the conservatives on SCOTUS. O is not doing it and most of the unwashed masses do NOT see the importance of getting a conservatives on the court.... NOW MORE THAN EVER.

O is working against that and has appointed two ultra lefties and more coming if he gets the chance.
