Top story on Drudge as I write this. And to think, some people accuse him of being pro-Romney.

Rush Limbaugh defended him half-heartedly on his show today, noting that the media thought it was cutesy-poo when evil clown Hugo Chavez compared Bush to the devil a few years ago but conceding that Santorum will “have to deal with it. He’ll have to answer it. I don’t know. It’s just not the kind of stuff you hear a presidential candidate talk about.” At the Post, John Podhoretz wonders if the best replacement for a president who sometimes seems to look down on Americans is … a president who sometimes seems to look down on Americans:

My gripes have centered on his statements and actions since he announced, not a religious/theological speech on the status of American life from FOUR YEARS AGO.
Certainly folks never picked apart any of Huckabees sermons...and nobody has talked much about what Romney believes or espouses in the religious realm (though we are CERTAIN to hear that if he picks up the nomination).
Nope. This is the Romney hit machine. The same hit machine that took out Gingrich on "Black Thursday".
Santorum will either survive the onslaught or he won't. But all of us must NEVER forget where it's coming from.

I understand that, it is something he said and it even may have some merit. This along with his other very recent sanctimonious comments is over the top. Personally, I think he is a career politician using religion and God, by playing the morality card to get votes. Shut up Rick and tell us what you are going to do about Iran, Israel, gas prices, Obamacare, illegal immigration, jobs, oil production, economy, and cleaning out the White House.

You are doing what’s called “blaming the victim,” as if Santorum could somehow, if he did or say Y instead of X, get a fair shake from the MSM.
He can’t and wont’. He said this statement 4 years ago addressing fellow Catholics.
You somehow think he can go back and unsay what he said his entire life? He’s stood up for his Christian beliefs his entire life, put his money where his mouth is (think little Bella, his daughter). He’s one of us and he has a shot at being the standardbearer rather than a wishy-washy wet-finger-in-the-air.

No he has not spent the last two weeks preaching. The MSM and Romney want you to think he has.
He has said a helluva lot more about other things over the past two weeks than about religion.

He’s been addressing the full range of conservative issues.
But you don’t know that because you scarfed up the MSM crap.

He does not want his name in the news, he prefers that you believe in nothing at all.
(This is why religion is dangerous in politics) Is there something wrong with you? So you think that by not supporting Santorum, it becomes the equivalent to Peter denying Jesus Christ? That certainly puts Santorum in an entirely different league than career politician. Should we start genuflecting when see or hear Santorum?

I may not believe in the Christian Satan but it doesn’t really matter. I KNOW that there are evil forces in the world who are there for you as soon as you turn to them. If you choose evil, it will be there. That is a given. And if you don’t know how to choose Good, woe.
God is not an extension of Satan, or vice versa.

Drudge has lost my respect. Not because he’s for Romney. But because he is part of the New Journalism and he’s as dishonest as the old kind. Instead of being proudly for his candidate, he tries to be sneaky by just slamming his competitors.
Santorum has guts. He is not going to apologize for his faith. He knows the cheap shots and ridicule are coming, and he is going to meet them head on.
As for Satan attaching America, this nostrum will be denied only by radical secularists, atheists and Liberals who would quaff arsenic before they voted for any GOP candidate. Santorum is right to point it out. Indeed Obama’s mentor, Saul Alinsky, dedicated “Rules for Radicals” to.....Lucifer!
Santorum knows that most voters in the swing states agree with him and he is giving them a reason to turn out and vote for him.
This is going to be a turn out election, and Santorum’s convictions are minting a hoard of “broken glass voters”
Perhaps America should get a restraining order against Satan just to be safe.
Sure, Obozo represents the Father of Lies.
The people who don’t think Satan is attacking America are a)imbeciles who can’t see the signs; b)atheists who deny that the devil exists; and c) those who are either actively assisting Satan or are useful idiots.
Few to none of these voters are conservatives and won’t be voting Republican.
On the other hand, there are many voters who are conservatives) who simply wouldn’t vote but they will vote for a candidate of conviction.
