Good on you! This gas heating unit is in the basement, so I NEVER gave a thought to carbon monoxide poisoning! Yes, I know, I am an idiot. Also, I never knew, that my husband didn’t have it serviced. I thought the A/C guy serviced both every May! Nope. Well, I should have known, since the A/C ginormous units are both outside the house, in the yard near the side street, hidden among the greenery.
For safety, go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy a carbon monoxide monitor and plug it in. Mine is in my bedroom. If that alarm goes off, I know not to sleep in that bedroom until I get someone to fix that problem.
