From a certain perspective, you bring up a good point. Al = the (as in algebra, derived from Arabic). La (’a’ as in abacus, only long) = not. So, ‘the not.’ Except there’s that pesky ‘h’
To answer your question, with His Son, the relationship to Christianity is bogus. You cannot believe in the Christ but claim He is not Who He is.
I am particularly fond of the use of rocks in Islam. Mecca and the jumping off point for Muhammad in going to heaven—the Mi’raj.
