When I was a kid, signs such as garage sale signs and political signs placed along thouroughfares were against city ordinances.

During the political season I used to go along the major roads and collect huge bundles of free fire wood. Never knew anything about any of the candidates, but they sure helped get unseasoned hardwood started.

Nowadays they all use the wire sign holders and mostly the plastic “baggie” signs; still, I’ve collected my share of the metal wires, some to put up other signs later, others to use the wire for things.
